Mixing requires a unique set of skills, a trained ear, a mastery of analog & digital equipment, as well as the ability to use technology to achieve specific creative results.


The goal of mixing is to make the audio sound the best it possibly can. A professional engineer can listen to audio from both a musical and a technical perspective, adjust hardware equipment, recording levels and even the performance of the artist in such a way that the recorded product sounds perfect.


Once all instruments, voices, etc, have been recorded, all the elements that have been recorded are blended or mixed together, with the aim of achieving a good balance of the instruments and vocal volumes.
